Panda Cloud Antivirus is one of the more talked about releases of 2009. Its new spin on the traditional antivirus model — like many new programs which embrace cloud computing — has been met with both praise and criticism.
Cloud AV scored an impressive 99.4% detection rate in a recent round of testing. That figure put it ahead of free favorites like Avira, Avast, AVG, and even Microsoft’s new Security Essentials.
(because sometimes i have to use windows too. Sadly)

Exif Jpeg header manipulation tool
jhead, for bulk changing exif data on jpeg pictures.
Freeware, cross-platform (Mac, win, linux), command line utility.
Must have for, e.g. changing date on all your pictures when the camera forget the time.
If you’ve set the wrong year on your camera (don’t watch me) you can solve with:
./jhead -ds2009 /folder/*.jpg

Problemino: computer windows, alcuni programmi vanno in crash appena dopo l’apertura (si fa in tempo a vedere il flash della finestra che si apre e si richiude).
Programmi incriminati: explorer, thunderbird, pulizia disco, word (ma excel funziona, per dire).
Questo come utente non privilegiato, in admin (e anche con un nuovo utente non privilegiato, creato di fresco per l’occasione) funziona tutto.
Abbondante spazio libero su disco.
Ah, per quel windows e quell’explorer, non guardate me. Io sono mac-addicted.
