Gaia In Korea.
This photo link is for Ls, since she loves bunnies and went to LSU. Read more about Gaia’s trip through Korea as he tagged every building in sight. Thanks MyLoveForYou!
I figured since I goofed on the last post by posting this photo instead of Star Trek art, I’d go ahead and blog about this graffiti.

A new class I’m taking brought me to the University earlier this week and I happened to park near this mural. I couldn’t resist snapping a photo of it. It was painted by Daniel Johnston on the side of what was then a record store called Sound Exchange. While I was in school at UT, Sound Exchange closed and Baja Fresh bought the place. They were going to tear down the mural until the proprietor saw a photo of Kurt Cobain wearing a “Hi How Are You” shirt. So he went out of his way to keep the mural in tact while tearing down the rest of the wall. Eventually Baja Fresh closed too and now it’s a sushi restaurant, thus the sickly-looking bamboo.
If you don’t know who Daniel Johnston is, I highly recommend the documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston. It captures a specific moment in the Austin music and art scene and I think it captures pretty well what it’s like to love someone suffering from mental illness. The stories his friends and family share are unforgettable.
