the person, who took the picture of this cake that I made and put it on ‘weheartit.com’ and said they made it, makes me angry :(
I track the “pink floyd” tag and the other picture of it - the one with a slice missing so you can see the inside of the cake - shows up a few times a week without credit. :/ It’s a shame because you did such an amazing job and you are entitled to the credit! ♥

Pink Floyd, The Fletcher memorial home.
Il messaggio di questa canzone dell ‘83 è che i grandi della Terra si costruiscano una casa di riposo e se ne vadano lì a fottersi. Thatcher, Reagan, Breznev… Il 1982 è l’annus horribilis della Guerra delle Malvinas (Falkland? fanculo) scatenata dal governo militare argentino (quello dei desaparecidos) nel tentativo di rinsaldare l’unità nazionale con una vittoria.
Le cose andarono diversamente. I generali, chiaramente anticomunisti, speravano in un intervento a loro sostegno da parte degli Stati Uniti, che invece non tradirono lo storico alleato inglese. L’anno successivo (l’83, appunto) il partito conservatore inglese stravinceva le elezioni politiche mentre il governo militare argentino si scioglieva indicendo elezioni democratiche.
Ancora oggi reduci (piqueteros) protestano a Plaza de Mayo perché vengano loro riconosciute le pensioni di guerra.
