Do it yourself: Plastic Bag Ice Cream

cheaperthanacupofjoe:

Materials: Milk, Ice, Rock Salt, Vanilla extract, Sugar, Plastic Bags, and a Container.

Directions: Seal 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 tsp of vanilla, and 1 tbsp of sugar in a quart-size zipper bag (freezer bags work best). Make sure to release as much air as possible before sealing your bag tightly… you should also double bag it to avoid leakage (thats what she said). Now fill the container with crushed ice and place the double-bagged mixture inside. Sprinkle 4 tbsp of rock salt on top of the ice.

For the next 5 minutes… shake, rattle, and roll your container until the plastic bag mixture has frozen into a solid. As soon as it does, enjoy your homemade ice cream!
